Time is flying, busy sorting out everything to bring and making sure I don't forget anything important. I got a few texts and emails after the news of the MS Explorer striking ice broke at the weekend. Thanks for your concern. Luckily everyone was rescued safe and sound. A timely reminder of the hazards of antarctic travel! Did a piece on Irish national radio on Friday on the Mooney Show about the Japanese whaling fleet heading for the antarctic hoping to kill over 1,000 whales, including 50 Humpback Whales, a species we hope to see and that many communities worldwide depend upon for tourism jobs. If you are interested in following the Greenpeace efforts to stop this pointless slaughter check out their blog
Bye for now,
Jim

Hi Jim, thought I'd catch you today before you left, only to find out you'd already arrived in Buenos Aires, Best of luck with the trip, I'll be checking in from time to time to see how you're doing.
